Nursing Home Abuse

A nursing home in Illinois has received some scary news coverage recently. Four separate people had cases of Legionnaires’ disease or Pontiac Fever, two of which were fatal. This disease is an acute form of pneumonia that is caused by microorganisms. It can affect the GI tract as well as the nervous system. Investigators believe the problem may be in the pool or spa area of the living center. It’s a very serious illness that is extremely rare. For it to occur in one place points to some form of possible negligence on the part of the facility.
